Hey there, fellow tennis enthusiasts It’s your girl Mia Johnson-Carter here, living the dream in Miami. Today, I’m super excited to dive into some fascinating insights from Andrey Rublev, who recently shared his thoughts on analyzing his rivals and checking the ATP ranking before challenging his opponents. This is especially relevant as we head into the final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, the Rolex Paris Masters.
Andrey Rublev surprised fans at the Paris Rolex Masters media day with some pretty interesting thoughts about his analysis of his rivals. He revealed that during the year, he barely checks the ATP ranking or watches tennis, but for weeks leading up to important matches, he has been constantly analyzing what can happen, seeing who his rivals are playing, and things like that. It’s stressful but it’s part of the sport, and he emphasized that the players who can deprive him of being in Turin for the Nitto ATP Finals are magnificent people.
The fight to access the Nitto ATP Finals is not only exciting for fans but also for the tennis players involved who are hoping to reach the Turin event reserved for the best eight in the world. Rublev is currently eighth in the ATP Race and must obviously watch his back, as does Casper Ruud, who is seventh and not so far from the Russian. The number one danger for him is Alex de Minaur, less than 200 points away and recovering from his injury with a semifinal reached at the ATP 500 in Vienna. Further back are Grigor Dimitrov, who reached the final last year in Bercy, and Tommy Paul. The competition in Paris will almost be decisive for the stakes.
Here is the current top 10 of the ATP Race:
– Jannik Sinner: 10340 points
– Carlos Alcaraz: 6720 points
– Alexander Zverev: 6325 points
– Daniil Medvedev: 4830 points
– Taylor Fritz: 4300 points
– Novak Djokovic: 3910 points
– Casper Ruud: 3855 points
– Andrey Rublev: 3720 points
– Alex de Minaur: 3555 points
– Grigor Dimitrov: 3150 points
The Rolex Paris Masters is the ninth and final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, held from October 28 to November 3. This event always brings together some of the best players in the world, making it a thrilling conclusion to the season. With Andrey Rublev’s insights on how he prepares for his matches, it’s clear that every player is ready to give it their all.
